That was the trouble with Michelangelo, oh he did some lovely stuff, but did he keep the papacy informed? No he didn’t. Not a good idea when they’re paying your bills, and it’s their ceiling you’re painting.
We, on the other hand, like to keep everyone informed and everything running smoothly. Creative we may be, but that’s no excuse for running a sloppy business.
So we’ve invested in things like our web-based job control system that lets everyone see where their job is how it’s progressing and in some fancy technology that lets us shuffle sizable files about the place without clogging up you e-mail.
And we tell people how much things are going to cost, tell them if that’s going to change and tell them where the money was spent. Which is not rocket science – just polite.
Oh, and the people you meet when you give us work? They’ll be the people who’ll do it.
